Cheese Boxes
Description
As a packaging solution for processed cheese, multi-component cardboard boxes have been used worldwide for their economy, ease of use and recyclability.
A cheese box generally consists of three parts: a box top, a box bottom, and a frame glued into the box bottom.
An installation usually consists of two interlinked machines in the following configuration.

Deep Drawing (Box Bottom and Top)
Preblanked printed flat cardboard discs are drawn into flat cups (with or without edge trim) in a box drawing machine (BSZ-4).
Assembly
In the simplest case (for low-height boxes), the box bottom is directly assembled with the top. The result is a simple box.
For larger box heights, a cardboard strip is glued ring-wise into the lower part, then the two box parts are assembled. The cardboard strips are processed from coil.
These operations are carried out by an assembly machine (MAM).
Variants
simple drawn cheese box
The simplest form of the cheese box consists of two drawn parts, which are inserted into each other.

- diameter (inner): 110 ± 2 mm

multi-part cheese box
Cheese boxes for larger filling levels are composed of three parts: a base, a sleeve and a lid.
- slip lid box with height > 30 mm
- base part with glued-in collar
- same external diameter for base part and lid
- application of a banderole possible while package is filled

- variants with low, medium and large height with identical height of drawn base
