ETA I/III - Embomax®

Overview

Welded can bodies are de- or embossed on the ETA embossing machine.

  • up to 50 cpm per station for high or low embossing of 2- and 3-part cans
  • up to 12 workstations on a turret
  • exact alignment of the embossing to the decoration (+/- 0.1 mm)

Design and Function

can infeed

  • servo-driven stop star allows selective switching on and off of stations in the event of maintenance or for simple generation of test series during ongoing operation
  • servo infeed screw

positioning and embossing

  • secure clamping of the can body in the lower clamping station
  • embossing mark recognition by means of optical sensor
  • aligning the can body to the embossing tool with high-speed servomotors (on each station)
  • embossing during a single revolution
  • gently unclamping the can and ejection from the station

can outlet

  • pneumatic ejection of incorrectly embossed cans
  • integration of a video inspection system (optional)
